The GNRHS, NPRHA, and SP&SHS welcome you to the first-ever joint Hill Lines convention! Of course, you don’t have to be a member of a Hill Lines historical society to attend–all railfans are welcome.
Registration is open (click the green button above) as well as hotel registration (info below). You can also view a daily schedule. In addition to Steve Fuller from the NPRHA, Mary McGlothlin represents the GNRHS and Bob Willer represents the SP&SHS.
The host hotel is the Doubletree Hotel St. Paul Downtown (411 Minnesota St., St. Paul, MN, 55101). Rooms are $125/night (convention rate; King bed or two Double beds). Please call the hotel direct to book at 651-291-8800 and use group code 907, “Hill Lines Convention”.
There are several Hill-related historic sites, many with historic markers, in the metro area for self-guided tours. Maps will be provided. The Minnesota History Center has a wealth of information on railroad history and is open to then public Wednesday through Sunday. Visit mnhs.org for details. Self-guided railroad layout tours on the day after the convention (Sunday, September 14) are also a possibility. Stay tuned for details.
