Generally speaking, the NPRHA is happy to accept NP engineering, operational, and administrative documents and NP marketing materials, as well as photos of the NP equipment, structures, people, locations, etc., and other ephemera. Generally speaking, the NPRHA does not accept items such as equipment, clothing, or passenger car dishware but we can help you find a suitable recipient for those items. Exception: model railroad equipment. We have an ongoing program to re-sell model trains and share the proceeds.
Yes. As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations to the NPRHA are tax deductible. Our extensive document and image preservation and digitizing work, as well as our Preservation Grants Program, need operating funds on an ongoing basis, so your donation would be very welcome!
